Ian Hawgood | Before I Let The Sunshine Rot
- band name
- about
- "It's about the memory... As always..."
Recorded in numerous locations, from Seoul to Lecce & Paris to Pennsylvania, multi-instrumentalist Ian Hawgood returns to his roots to capture the memories of these places; the sights, the smells, the sounds but, most importantly, the people he considers friends.
A deeply personal journey, but one in which Ian invites you to join him in remembering the good times as he basks in the draping, folk guitar, ethereal, hazy drones and poignant nostalgia encapsulated in this release.

Special thanks to my great friend Sara, to Fionnuala for the awesome memories, to Mike Oliver for just being a superb friend and supporter, to Ben Jones, Ed Cookson and Tom Priddle for being the best friends anyone could wish for, Jonathan Lees for being a top top bloke, Yann Novak whose work has become a real inspiration for me, Michael Henaghan for being the man, Antony Harrison for standing in the rain with me during Field Day when all else failed, the Home Normal, Tokyo Droning and NKR families, and last but not least, my family, friends and Angela.
